The Girls in the Dark

An addictive, breathtaking thriller about a true-crime darling who survived a notorious twin abduction—only to see her carefully curated story unravel twenty years later, when someone who knows the truth starts playing games. For fans of Jessica Knoll and Mary Kubica.

Twenty years ago, my twin sister and I were abducted. Only I survived. Or so I thought …

For months we were held in darkness. The night I escaped was the last time I saw my sister. I promised I would come back for her, but it was a promise I failed to keep.

Now, on the twentieth anniversary of our abduction, I find a black rose on my car. Immediately, I know it’s a warning. Has my kidnapper finally come back for me?

Then an image of my sister comes into my mind, and my heart starts to pound. I convinced myself that she died in that room, but what if I was wrong? Because if she’s back, and the truth of what happened the night I escaped comes to light, it will destroy everything …
