Melinda Lee Rathjen grew up in southern Illinois, reading past her bedtime whenever she could get away with it. As an editor at WorthyKids, she still spends a lot of time reading, though stealth and flashlights are rarely necessary. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with a dog and two very opinionated cats.

Passionate about children’s illustration, Megan Higgins enjoys making whimsical pieces that bring comfort and coziness while also thinking about a bit of storytelling. Using nature as inspiration is her absolute favorite thing, and it shows up quite often her work. She loves all things quirky, has a fun collection of odd earrings and sweaters, plays video games, enjoys paddle boarding, skiing, and petting cute dogs and cats. Megan lives in Austria.
