Goro Fujita was born in Japan and moved with his family to Germany when he was three years old. He's been fascinated by drawing ever since he was a little child. In 2008, he moved to San Jose, California, where he works as a book illustrator and visual development artist on feature films. Rumor has it that aliens taught him how to paint.

She is a former teacher and library media specialist who now celebrates reading and writing with thousands of kids each year through her author visits. Sauer and her family live in Edmond, Oklahoma. Vanessa Brantley-Newton is a self-taught illustrator, doll maker, and crafter who studied fashion illustration at FIT and children’s book illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She is the author and illustrator of Grandma’s Purse, Just Like Me, and Becoming Vanessa, and she has illustrated numerous children’s books. Brantley-Newton lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband, daughter, and a very rambunctious cat named Stripes.
