About the Author

E. M. Forster (1879–1970) was a renowned English novelist, essayist, speechwriter, and short story writer of the twentieth century. He is best known for his novels, A Room with a View (1985), Howards End (1910), and A Passage to India (1924), as well as his works’ frequent exploration of class, hypocrisy, and humanism.
